The Deeper Reason People Hate Israel and the Jews
Hatred towards Jews and Israel stems from a deep and ancient phenomenon that has intrigued me since childhood, as a Jew and an Israeli.
I remember myself as a child, attending school ceremonies on Holocaust days, feeling scared, ashamed and completely confused as to how such things could even happen.
In high school, I couldn’t stop asking questions, trying to get to the bottom of it. I wanted to know, how come people didn’t notice? How come they let it happen? And most of all….why Jews?
In our times Anti-Semitism takes on many forms.
You might think that hatred towards Israel can be disconnected from Anti-Semitism, but more often than not, it is one and the same. While there are all kinds of problems in the Middle East, no other country is targeted for blame like Israel (not even Iran, North Korea, or any other dictatorship!).
No other country’s existence is constantly questioned.
Research shows that when people are reminded of the truth of their mortality (i.e) death, they tend to feel more blame towards Israel, in comparison to any other country. Feeling bad, somehow makes Israel loom large. (Modern anti-Semitism and anti-Israeli attitudes, Cohen et.al 2009). Indeed whenever something goes wrong in the world, whether it’s plagues, pandemics, wars, or natural disasters, Jews are always blamed for it sooner or later.
Why is that?
How are Israel, and the Jews somehow connected to people’s sense of well-being, or lack thereof?
For years I have searched for the answers to these questions, only to have found them after going through a spiritual awakening and a quest after life’s meaning itself.
In this video, I share the answers I have found with you with great hope that we can see the importance of this knowledge to peace in our world.
Understanding the source of this hate and blame actually holds the key to unlocking every other enigma in our lives, and securing a happy life for ALL people!
